Question #1:

Great cheap makeups i should buy?

what foundation is great for oily skin? Currently im using maybelline aqua gel foundation, and its sucks.
Or maybe my skin is the problem. After like 2 hours it starts to break out, and my face gets oily(eww) And i have to reapply it. I use it for school.
the one that makes my skin look acne-free and smooth like im not wearing any makeup.

And should i use primer to make it last longer? any suggestions on a cheap one i can buy? What can i do to make my makeup last longer?

Liquid eyeliner or Pencil eyeliner?

Thanks ^^

Question #2:

Which of these makeup foundations will you recommend?

Please help me pick-out the right foundation for me that offers medium coverage, does not irritate skin and does not require frequent retouch. I have oily T-zone and acne-prone skin. I am considering these three options:

1. Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation
2. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra
3. any Shiseido powder foundation

I was considering Diorskin cream foundations but I've heard they contain fragrances.

Also, I prefer cream to powder foundations but most products with good reviews I have read are liquid.
Thanks girls! I've already tried MAC Studio Tech (felt heavy for me), Revlon (darkens a lot after an hour), Maybeline (can't remember why I didn't re-purchase).
NARS Sheer Matte and MAC Studio Sculpt seem interesting.

Question #3:

Concealer and Foundation Help Please?

I am looking for a good drugstore concealer and foundation to wear, but I am struggling to find something that will work for my skin.

I am 14.5, and I have combination skin that can be quite oily in the t-zone, but also goes through weird spells where it is crazy dry and flaky. It is fair-medium with warm/yellow undertones. (usually one of the darker "light" shades)

I am looking for a good under-eye concealer that won't dry out my under-eye area and won't settle into the fine lines under my eyes. What (drugstore) concealer would you recommend? Please try to keep your suggestions under fifteen dollars. Also, I am not a fan of powder concealers and please try to suggest something oil-free that won't clog my pores.

For foundation, I don't wear it all that often, but on the occasions I do, I want something that will even out my skintone, be light and let my skin breathe, and look natural. (you won't even know I'm wearing it) Again, try to keep your suggestions under $15, and make sure it is a drugstore product.

If you have any other tips on concealer or foundation, I would love them, as I am a makeup beginner and I appreciate any advice you can give me.

* for reference, I am currently wearing Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 hour foundation in 100 Ivory, but I am not a huge fan of it so I am looking for a better foundation.

Question #4:

Most flawless foundation?

I'm going to be a bridesmaid in just over a month and we're all doing our own makeup (except the bride). I have combination skin (dry and oily in different parts) and I was just wondering what the best foundation is to get as close to 'airbrushed' skin as possible. I only have the money for brands like Maybeline and Revlon (drug-store brands?), so, any ideas?

I am 15 and I want to start wearing light makeup (as in a coverage)
I have fair skin..Brown long hair and bright blue eyes.
I want a foundation or powder .
I have pimples here&there and it makes me self concious.
But I dont want to make them worse with a thick pore clogging foundation.

I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Pink Grape Fruit acne wash with 2% acrilyic acid.
If it's helping me much but I have only been using it for 2 weeks. It drys my face so I need a moisturizer.

My face is always dry and gets flaky. My nose is oily though.
I want a coverage (doesnt need to be 100%) and even my skin some ?

Would a tinted moisturizer be good for me?
I would love to try..
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer Tinted Moisturizer.
It looks good!
Or should I get a liquid foundation?

I want something naturally and light looking to start off.

Question #7:

What is a tinted moisturizer, is it good?

I am 15 and I want to start wearing light makeup (as in a coverage)
I have naturally dark, long eyelashes so I don't really need a mascara -yet.
I am not a fan of thick eyeliner or eyeshadow, so I probably won't be wearing much of that.
I just use lip blam instead of lip gloss.

ANYWAYS..

Question #8:

I need something to help with oil control during the day.?

So my face gets really oily and shiny during the day and i really want to try Urban Decays De Slick Oil control makeup setting spray. The only problem is I just got a prescription from my dermatologist for my acne. Its about 2 months into the treatment and its supposed to make my pores bigger. Is that why I'm so oily bc the doctor told me it was supposed to make my skin peal. Ive noticed that it only does on the bottom half and just a little bit by the top of my face. The rest is just oily. I cant live with this oily face though. Any suggestions that wont mess with my prescription medication (I put it on my face and its Retina-Micro for acne) ??????

Question #11:

Hairspray as a setting spray?!?

I was browsing, a makeup website, reading reviews, and one reviewer said she sprayed hairspray lightly on her face and her makeup stayed all day! I was like WTF? But now I'm wondering... does that actually work?
I do have problems with my foundation and concealer staying on during school (Yes, I use a face primer, so please don't suggest that), and I know that sounds kind of gross, but I was wondering if it really does work? Would it make my skin disgusting, or what? If it helps, I have combination/oily skin.
Thanks so much! and sorry for the random, weird question xDD

Question #12:

Help what concealer should I use for under eye circles that are EXTREMELY dark? MAC OR SEPHORA?

Well I am african american (my complexion is similar to keke palmers) and I am thinking of getting contacts ( i wear glasses that usually hide my circles)my dark circles are really bad so I need a concealer to cover them I dont want to look cakey or un-natural and I also really dont want to waste my money trying a whole buch of concealers.Iam really interested in MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 but I have heard about TheBalm TimeBalm Concealer, and benifits erase paste which should I use? please keep in mind i am african american so it is differnent for someone who is pale and that my dark circles aree really bad.

Ohh I wanted to go and test these three out before buying anything but how should I? Do I go to sephora and try each concealer under a different eye then go home and see what happens, can I do that? And what powder should I get? I was thinking of Maac prep and prime powder my limit is $30 I want a good one that can help my makeup last.Is this a good powder?

[p.s I am only willing to spend $20 on concealer and I need something I can apply with my fingers and that will be quick to put on when I am getting ready for school. I do not use foundation nor do I plan to buy any if that is important. My skin is normal-oily,the skin on my eyes are smooth.]

Hmm maybe I should just do two questions in one.I go to a uniform school and Im startinging into grade 11, How should I do my hair and makeup?

Question #14:

What is makeup primer? And can I just use that instead of Concealer/Foundation?

What is makeup primer? Also, what is the difference between concealer and foundation? I have extremely oily and shiny skin, and I heard makeup primer can make shine go away for while its on your skin? I also want to even out my skin tone, and cover acne that I get. (not horrible acne) So I don't really like to wear makeup that much, I heard that face makeup will make my skin look worse? So tell me all you can!! I need something. Please and Thank you :]
Well, at the same time, my face is very dry too.,,if that makes sense.

Question #16:

best drugstore makeup?

I am looking to restock and try some new makeup but I'm not setting foot in the mac store! I am looking for some good makeup under the following category:
-foundation (medium-full coverage + tinted moisturizer)
-mascara (non waterproof with some water resistance + awesome lengthening and clean non clumping definition)
-lips (lip stain with a brush applicator and lip glosses that aren't sticky)

So it you can help me with that I'd be eternally grateful!

Also, my skin is normal to oily (combination), lips are dry dry dry and always chapped, and my eyelashes can make any mascara clump like you've never seen before!

I'd like to see only drugstore products that you could pick up at say shoppers or lawtons, etc. (:

PS, whats a good dupe for the mac 119?

Question #17:

Was Maybelline Pure Makeup foundation discontinued?

I've been using it since I first saw a commercial for it a few years ago & havent found it in stores the last couple of days. i liked it because it had decent coverage & was extremely light, i couldn't even tell i was wearing foundation. but everything ive tried seems really heavy & oily even if its not supposed to be. i dont have acne so i dont need something super heavy but my skin does get a little oily sometimes.
do you have any recomendations for something similar & inexpensive? like under $10?

Question #18:

I have a problem with acne for over 3 years! HELP!?

I am in 8th grade now, and I have had acne since 5th grade. I have used probably every single face wash out there, and currently, I am using the Cetaphil line. I do wear makeup, and make sure to remove it at night. I wash my face 2 times a day.. I don't have oily skin, but I have dry skin, so if I use something with Salyacitic Acid, my face will become really dry. I have been to the dermatologist, and she gave me medicine which I never took. Should I take the medicine or try some different method?

Question #19:

Make-up help! (MAC?)?

I'm really not very good with make-up, and have gone all summer without it, but classes have started again, and I feel the need to use it again.

I have two problems: one is that foundation always feels heavy after a few hours. I have pretty oily skin, but even if I use a toner, I still feel gross at the end of the day. It just feels like a mask, and I hate to touch my face when it feels like that. I want to just rush home and wipe it off.

The other problem is eyeliner. I've been trying for 10 years to find one that actually stays on my eyes, I've tried every drug-store brand and type, and it always ends up smudging. I've tried liquid before, but I sort of hate it, because I wear contacts and it's difficult to wear with them. I also don't like the 'slick' look that it gives. I like the pencil look better.

So my question is: should I try to invest in something nicer, like MAC cosmetics? Would that make the makeup seem lighter on my face? Is their eyeliner better?

Mind you, I'm a broke college student, so if you have any cheaper ideas, please let me know. Thanks!
