Question #1:

Why do I hoard stuff?

I would really like to know what is behind my need to hoard stuff. I hoard clothes, greeting cards, buttons, bits of ribbon and lace and old makeup.
I really would love to have a huge clean out and dump my old stuff but I just can't do it. I would really love to take the better clothes that I don't wear anymore to a goodwill shop but I just don't.
Does anyone have an answer for me please? I would love to be cured of this.
I forgot to add I remember hoarding old sweet wrappers when I was a child, I felt sorry for them if I threw them in the bin.
Thank you so much for your answers. Yes it is getting worse as I have managed to hoard a lot more since I have owned my own house (10yrs now). It has been so bad at times that I get really mad at my husband if he throws anything out without asking me first. About 12yrs ago he threw some of my stuff out while I was at work, I still have'nt forgiven him for that!
Thanks again.

Question #2:

whom do you think is dirtier?

Are men dirtier? Or are women? Women seem to leave makeup, hair, underwear, and beauty products laying around. I think women are dirtier, they just clean it up more.

Question #3:

Guys: Is this the type of woman you want?

I'm very analytical, so after my analysis (as a woman) here is what I think the man wants in his ideal wife--a woman who:

adores him and encourages all his stupid aspirations (lol)
looks good (even without makeup, so in good shape too)
open about sex, and enjoys it (comments on how good he is)
not dramatic, bitchy, whiny or too talkative (this is an important one)
intelligent and sharp, can analyze a man's musings
confident in herself and has her own interests
not needy but still appreciative of him
likes to do fun new things (well this varies but kayaking, hang gliding etc)
not a feminazi (cleans the house, makes food & has a career)
but also encourages him to help out when he can (maybe a 1:3 ratio lol)
doesn't spend all the $ and has her own job
is LOYAL to him only (no flirting with other guys)
good moral code (honest, kind, generous, loving family oriented etc)

That's what will keep a man loyal ^_^

Question #4:

Poll: What makes you happy?

Little things.

Me? Sun showers, My best friend, Cards, Vintage cameras, Arrested Development, Y!A, My playlist on Grooveshark, Cooking, Ice cold milk, Clean&Clear, Makeup, picnics, My Betta fish, my watch, my dorky sandles. Lots of things(:

Question #5:

Clear and Clean skin problem?

Hi, Well i have skin with out many pimples only the odd one here and there, but my skin is like got freckles (but only natural ones, from being in the sun, not like red head ones or anything) um and i kind of have like red slopchiness here and there. Question #6:

Need help with foundation color?

i've recently started using foundation and stuff on my face at age 17. i'd bought so many different products in diff shades. I used most only once and no longer use because it's either really light on my skin or way too dark. i get so frustrated i don't know my skin tone color. i kind of have uneven skin tone on my face. I don't cake on my make up. i'm currently using cover girl -clean- pressed powered number 155 i guess it blends with my natural skin tone. I wanted to switch to using maybelliene make up though will this color work for me or suggest a different shade that is similar to soft honey??

Question #7:

How to keep my makeup on? help please.?

Every morning after taking a shower and washing my face I do my makeup. I use covergirl clean oil-control liquid foundation. then sometimes the covergirl pressed powder afterwards. I also put on covergirl eye liner, just on the bottom lid, and mascara. During the day at school I find myself always looking in a mirror. It seems that my foundation wears off, as well as my eyeliner. I constantly fix my eyeliner. I don't want to switch brands because they're already exspensive enough. Any tips about this? thanks.

Question #8:

What to do a week before school?

Okay so I'm going into 8th grade and a girl... And it's a week before school so I want to get ready I have already:
Packed school supplies
Cleaned desk off
And I'm going to clean my closet and get a pedicure!
What else should I do??

*doesn't have to be makeup and stuff, it can be school related!
** and I got new clothes and I can't get a wax or tan or stuff like that!

Question #9:

How long can I keep my makeup brush cleanser?

I know that you have to throw out old makeup, but what about a brush cleanser? I have a mac brush cleanser that I barely used since I first got it, I would say about 3-4 years ago. =/ Can I still use that to clean my brushes? or will it not be effective anymore?
hmm...I don;t see any expiration date...and there isn't any eg12m. the closest thing to that is ..in the front bottom it just says....235ml....e....7.9us floz... on the bottom of the bottle it says c75...

Question #10:

Who agrees that women have it harder?

Here are some reasons why I think women have a harder life than men:

1: We have to deal with menstruation. And don't give me any crap about how you have to deal with us. You try having a period and staying happy.

2: Let's say there's a man who sleeps with a lot of women. Now let's say there's a woman who sleeps with the same amount of men. That makes him a god and her a slut.

3: We are pressured BY MEN to shave, fix our hair, wear nice clothes, wear makeup, act perfect, and whatever else. And because of men, we spend hundreds of dollars at the makeup counter and the stores, and even more at the beauty salons.

4: We are the ones that have to carry the baby. Not men. The ladies.

5: We are the ones who do the most work with the children. Like, at home, the women do the laundry, clean, feed and take care of the kids, and in my case, mow the lawn and garden.

So it's clear women have a harder time than men. Anyone disagree?

Question #11:

How can I give myself a makeover on a low budget? (I know it's a bit long but please read?)?

I'm a 13 year old girl, and I want to give myself a makeover. Like, get a new hair color. Right now I have my natural hair color, which is medium-dark brown. I want to dye it a few shades lighter, if my parents will let me. If I did dye my hair, (I want it to be permanent) how often would I have to get it re-dyed? I'm also probably going to get blonde highlights. (I've had highlights before)
Also, I have lost weight in the last 10 months (That's a good thing, I was pretty big for my age) And I'll probably lose some more this school year. That's one of my main goals.
Before I get my hair dyed and styled and such, I'm planning to grow it out more. This is so far successful. I just have a few more inches to go. =]
I currently do chores, and I clean my parents' friend's house once a week, and she pays me about 20 dollars. I get 7 dollars a week for my regular chores. I put all my savings in an old coffee container. I did this about 2 months ago, for a couple weeks, and I had about 40 dollars in there. I used that to buy my hamster and his supplies. So I'm saving my money to get new clothes, shoes and makeup, etc.
I'm aiming to becoming more girly as well. I'm reading questions on Y! Answers about being more girly, etc, and I think it's working. I also go to thrift stores often, and I usually find something there. I'm taking sewing classes at school, so I'm able to add things onto my findings, like patches, and buttons, etc.
Does this sound like a good plan to you? Is there anything I need to add or take out?
Note:: I am getting my hair done my a professional.
And I am NOT doing this for a guy, I would never change myself for someone else. This is for me. I need a new look, lol.
Thanks a bunch!! =D

Question #12:

what kind of makeup should I wear?

I've never worn make-up before, but I have recently decided to become a bit more.. maintained? xD
I don't want to wear eyeshadow or lipstick..., but I want to make my complexion look cleaner and cover up some blemishes, etc. shoudl I use foundation or something? *completely clueless so any suggestions come with companies please*
I have light-ish skin. Not white, not tan.

Question #13:

Direct sales with out the parties?

Hello!
I'm looking for a direct sales opportunity (like Avon and Scentsy) but without the need for parties. I'm still pretty newly married and don't have a ton of girlfriends to invite to parties, nor do I have tons of time for them. I'm looking for a direct sales company that allows me to advertise online, sell in person at home, pass out catalogs, flyers, make websites, etc. I don't want a monthly minimum either, like you must sell $600 of product in three months. Too much pressure and kinda defeats the idea of "working for yourself". I'm really into home decor items and baby items as well as cleaning/organizing and house stuff in general. No makeup stuff please! Lastly...the startup kit needs to be under $200. So....any ideas of non-party direct sales companies?? Thanks for everyone's answers!!

Question #14:

Is this a good makeup routine? I am 15?

Neutrogena:
Healthy Skin Enhancer Tinted Moisturizer,
SkinClearing Blemish Concealer
SkinClearing Mineral Powder

Products can be seen here:

I am just starting to wear makeup. I want a light foundation so I chose a tinted moisturizer. The products I chose are high rated, clean, non clogging, and help acne heal! The TM also has SPF20 and Vitamin A :)

Is that a good routine for starting?
Oh and I use Neutrogena pink grape fruit foaming acne wash morning and night.
I want makeup to feel better about my self. I struggle with self confidence and consider myself ugly for reasons I'd rather not share.

I have a few pimples/red spots and just want to coverup some.

Question #15:

Everything About Makeup.?

So, right now I'ma little confused about makeup.
What's the difference between powder & compact makeup & do I need a brush to apply both of these?
For eyeshadow do I need a brush or do I use the circular things that come with it?
What are each of the brushes for?
How do I clean off my makeup? I have this face wash, but it doesn't get off all the eyeliner & mascara, so what's the best wipe or wash?
Any eyeshadow tricks?
How to do top eyeliner?
Do I use concealer to cover up dark circles?
Please just tell me what what everything does.

Question #16:

My mom is overly-over-protective?

She's not as bad as some mom's but close.
I was on Facebook today and she was looking over my shoulder, as usual. Then she saw someone said "haha" and thought it was some kind of dirty slang, and unfriended them later (she has ALL my passwords, even for Neopets!! I haven;t gone on in several years and she still checks it!!). I can't wear makeup until I'm 15 (I mean any kind of makeup other than clear mascara in a few months when I'm 14), and I can't date until I'm 18. I mean, COME ON. There's more but one of my fingers are broken (she made me clean the house and I slipped on one of her shirts and fell).

I don't know what to do!! I'm really concerned about the dating thing. All my friends can date when they're 14, and their moms are more strict than mine (not over-protective, strict; there's a difference). She pulled me out of classes because she wanted me to be in AP classes and I just started making friends!! I've never given her any reason to be scared and it's not because I can't do anything, it's because, believe it or not, I'm a genuinely good 13-year-old girl. I get straight A's just like she wants me to, and I don't walk anywhere alone other than across the street to check the mail or two minutes away to my friend's house. I also can't walk to the teen center (it would be fine because I wouldn't be walking alone - many other kids from my school would be walking there, too).

I really don't know what to do!!! I feel so restricted and people make fun of me because I don't have much of a life outside of school.

Okay now this is really hurting my finger so I can't type anymore!!\

Help!! What do I do??

Question #17:

i need help with my makeup routine!!?

hey, so im 13 and i really like the look of natural makeup! i was just wondering if any of you could help me figure out what makeup to use for a nice clean fresh looking makeup routine for a young teen(: i cant afford mac and stuff like that but if you can buy it at a drugstore or walmart or something that would work!! lol thx sooooo much
btw. i have combo. skin, brown eyes, and fair skin!!
oh and i have pretty much clear skin just a few blemishes here and there lol

Question #18:

What is the best way to sort my hall closet I use for my toiletries?

I moved into an apartment that has a small bathroom with a pedestal sink and no storage capacity :(

So I use the hall closed that is right next to my bathroom to keep all my toiletries (I'm a girl who has a lot of 'doo-dads'--e.g. foot scrubs, face creams, lotions, nail polish, lots of makeup, hair products and etc)

Also of course I keep the additional TP rolls and clean towels in there.

How can I organize this closet? I find it always kind of looks cluttered. It has many different shelves.

What is the best way to arrange all of my things? Right now all my products are just standing all together and whenever I want something I sometimes have to reach behind other things and everything gets mixed up and its not practical and hard to keep organized.

Also I will have to share this closet with my boyfriend when he is back in town so I urgently need to fix it up to give him at least a shelf.

Question #19:

How does my main character sound?

Hopefully not mary sue like >.>

Name: Reila (ray-la) although im thinking of changing it. btw my story is sci fi/fantasy
Age: 18
Personality: Doubts herself too much, can by shy/timid, bottles up her emotions, is pretending to be "normal" despite an incident in the past that she ran away from. She is in foster care with a loving family and she pretends that she doesn't remember her past because she is afraid and would rather forget it. She cares about her foster family and her friends, but at times she wants to be alone because they can get on her nerves. Loves going out for a run when there are things bothering her or when she begins to rethink her past. She loves her family so she really tries hard to please them and stay out of trouble.

Appearance: Slender, average height, heart shaped face, a little bit of freckles on her cheeks and over the bridge of her nose, large hazel eyes, brown hair just past her chest, she looks pretty, but not strikingly beautiful. Average, yet pretty. She HATES wearing makeup because she thinks it looks too cake like, and she gets annoyed when she gets a zit. She goes overboard at times to keep her skin healthy and acne free. She particularly likes the scent of strawberry shampoo, and she is very clean, in other words she is a germ-a-phobe.

Clothes: likes to keep it simple and comfortable but likes to wear cute tops and loves floral patterns.
btw, she is going to change for the better as the story goes on. She will get over her past and learn to accept who she really is.
Thanks. although rereading what i have posted sounds lame...bleh. maybe i will add some tweaks. this is actually the first time i sat down and wrote about her.
