I have some extra cash, and I was thinking about buying some MAC concealer, and a setting powder (for the concealer) Is it worth it? Right now I use covergirl concealer, and almay powder. They're okay but I feel like my face deserves nicer makeup haha (:Soooo should I?! Thanks!
Question #5:
What kinda of liquid foundation should I use without it looking cakey and fake?
I have tried MANY different liquid and powder foundations, but I find liquid gives more coverage that is needed, but I can't seem to find one that doesn't cake and look really fake.I have tried :
Super-stay 24 hour Maybelline New York
Almay Clear Complexion Makeup
Loreal Paris true match super blendable
Bare Minerals
Covergirl Aqua Smoothers
I need a foundation that won't end up looking cakey and disgusting by halfway through my school day. I hope someone can help :]
Question #6:
How do you do your makeup for school?
I love to hear how others do their makeup, and I want some new ideas. Its only the 3rd day of school for me, and I already have no idea what to do next. I need new makeup looks! These are the colors that I've used this week (I've just started school this week, lol):- a light, subtle purple
- a gold
- a shimmery peachy color
- or a white-ish color
And I've just been lining the top of my eye because if I line the bottom too then my eyeliner always smudges everywhere. And of course mascara. I also wear a little foundation, concealer, powder, all that. and OCCASIONALLY cream blush from Almay.
So what makeup do YOU wear to school? Any ideas? I actually prefer more colorful eyeshadows instead of neutrals =)
Question #7:
Need Help Finding The Best Liquid/Powder MINERAL Foundation For Me?
I have fair/pale skin. My skin's normal/oily & is sensitive.I've tried the Maybelline Dream Mousse Liquid Foundation. I like it BUT I kinda want to try something different just to see if I like anything else.
I've looked here on Y!A on what mineral foundation is best for most people and which is not BUT so far I can't decide which one is best for me.
I would like one that is has medium to full coverage & doesn't make my skin appear oily or discolored.
I was considering on buying Bare Minerals BUT it's a little high priced and I've read good & bad reviews on it.
I've also looked in at M.A.C., MaryKay, Sephora, Physicians Formula, Almay, Loreal Paris, Neutrogena, CoverGirl, Maybelline, Revlon, Avon, Clinique, and so on BUT still I can't decide which one would be best for me.
I would prefer to buy them at drug store departments (like Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc.) BUT if there's a product that has good reviews & most people like it then I'll reconsider it.
I don't really want to buy anything high priced UNLESS again if the product has good reviews & most people like it.
Also what ingredients in makeup(s)are harmful to your skin? I wanna know so I don't buy one that contains it since my skin's sensitive.
Also I would like to buy the product in-person/in the stores rather than buying it online.
Question #8:
is almay a good makeup brand?
i wanted to purchse almay 16 hr pressed powder and i want to know if its good for combo skinQuestion #9:
Are these good skin care products?
I'm 13... and I finally convinced my mom I'm the right age to start wearing some skin care stuff... I have oily/combo skin... well really... It depends, always, my skin is normal at the beginning of the day... in the summer, sweat and oils build up and makes my skin all greasy... But in the winter, my skin is pretty dry... So, I don't want to get anything that's leaning to far towards either skin condition, you know, since it differs. My skin is also pretty sensitive, and it can easily break out or get all rashy if I use a certain product. Anyways, just wondering if you guys have used these and what you thought!Morning:

-The Body Shop Calming Aloe Toner Click Here
-The Body Shop Vitamin E Facial Day Lotion with SPF 15 Click Here
During the day (mostly for the summer only):
-The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Blotting Tissues Click Here
-Evian Facial Spray Click Here
Night:
Same cleanser as morning
Same toner
The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Night Treatment Click Here
Almay Oil Free Eye Makeup Removing Pads Click Here
everyone always suggests clean and clear but they test on animals and I don't buy those brands...
Question #10:
Cheap drugstore makeup?
i was just wondering out of revlon, wetnwild, and almay which is best? i no there all not good cheap brands and I need liquid foundation and Preesed Powder and Concealer and Blush and Bronze and Eyebrow and Eyeliner and Eyeshadow and Lipgloss and Face primer and Highlighter and brushesI have strawberry blonde hair with hazel eyes and light and oily skin
Question #11:
What is the best (drugstore brands only) full coverage foundation for oily/sensitive/acne prone skin?
I recently tried Revlon ColorStay and I absolutely loved the coverage it provides, looks great and controls shine, BUT it made me break out horribly (as soon as I stopped using it, my face cleared up and I use cleansers, etc for acne prone skin). I recently read that Maybelline Superstay 24Hr Makeup might be similar in coverage, but I'm worried it will make me break out as well. I've read that the problem is that I need noncomedogenic foundation and I don't believe that either the Revlon ColorStay or the Maybelline Supserstay are...I've also tried Almay Clear Complexion in the past, but the coverage isn't great so I have to use more and I go through bottles too fast, plus it doesn't last all day. I have tried mineral makeup in the past, so forget it. Terrible coverage and didn't control oil/shine at all-so absolutely no mineral makeup! I've read enough reviews online that the expensive brands aren't worth it, so I'm not looking for anything I can't purchase at the drugstore. I am looking for full coverage, long lasting, noncomedogenic foundation. thanks! oh, and btw, I do use oil free moisturizer in case anyone is going to suggest that I need to use that...I've tried Neutrogena and I didn't care for it. I guess I'm trying to see if anyone has found anything similar to the Revlon ColorStay that doesn't cause breakouts.

I will try filling in my brows. Also, I used a bit brighter blush because the wedding is all outdoors and without the blush it looks a little too washed out.
I do have eyeliner pencil on the bottom and liquid liner on the top. I'll try the liquid on the bottom lid as well.

Question #17:
What makeup brand is better: Revlon or Almay?
I usually get Revlon lip products and Almay for everything else, but which is better?
Question #18:
which one is better makeup?
is almay smart shade balance makeup any different or better than almay smart shade anti aging skin makeup???or just plain almay smart shade
or is revlon photo ready liquid makeup better???
Question #19:
Facial cleansing/makeup products?
I have moderate acne. My skin breaks out in blemishes unless I wash my face 3 times a day. I use Avon's Clearskin Immediate Response Ance Cleanser with a wash cloth as of now. I used to use Apricot Scrub but it just wasn't working for me. It's almost like it was too exfoliating and it was irritating my skin even more. What I'm using now is better, but I have to use it 3 times a day to keep my face clean. I even rinse with cold water. I don't like washing 3 times a day because it can be bad for your skin. My skin gets very oily very fast so I don't use a moisturizer. They tend to make me break out even more. As for my makeup, I use Almay's Clear Complexion concealer (for the 1.0% Salicylic acid) and Covergirl's Clean Oil Control pressed powder and foundation. My skin still starts feeling oily and gross about an hour after applying. The foundation makes it worse so more often than not I wear just the concealer and powder. The concealer comes in a tiny tube and is expensive though. What else can I try?I only use a wash cloth in the shower. I use my hands in the sink. I also usually go the weekends without makeup and I usually see no progress.
